Top tips for the ride:

Prepare yourself
Get some training in, we would recommend getting rides of up to 30miles minimum to get those legs ready.

Nutrition
We are big believers in electrolytes as the key nutrition on route, providing you with vital hydration on route. Energy bars and gels are always recommended as well to give you that extra boost.

GPS
We alway recommend using a GPS for on route for safety reasons and also to make your trip enjoyable. The Garmin Edge 530 is what we use and offers great value for money. You can then preload the routes .gxp file onto your Garmin for easy navigation

Your bike
It’s always good to have your bike serviced from a local bike shop to make sure it is all ready for your ride. A few £ for a service goes along way when it avoids unnecessary breakdowns on route. Check our the local bike shop network to find the nearest to you – https://www.thecyclingexperts.co.uk/find-a-shop/

Tool Kit
A basic tool kit is a necessity – We recommend bringing the following:
Spare tube
Quick Link
Tubeless plug tool (if your tubeless)
Allen key set
Tyre Levers
Puncture Kit

A basic tool kit can be picked up pretty cheap online such as here – Bike Tool kit with saddle bag

If you dont think your bike will be suitable for the organised bike rides we offer bike hire for the BHF london to brighton and the September London to brighton ride.
